Some photographs show you what a moment looked like. The really special ones remind you how it felt.
The warmth of your grandmother's kitchen. The nervous excitement of your wedding morning. Your toddler's little hand wrapped around yours. The home where an entire chapter of your life unfolded.
That's the kind of magic Baylee Marie is chasing.
And if you've ever been on the other side of her camera, you know she has a gift for finding it.

Almost a Decade of Friendship
I met Baylee nearly ten years ago, right around the time I was getting started in real estate. I remember being drawn to her almost immediately. She has this incredibly calming energy about her, the kind that makes you feel comfortable just being yourself. I had a feeling we'd become friends, and I was right.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of watching her build Baylee Marie Photography while also building a beautiful life of her own.
A couple of years ago, my mom and I helped Baylee and her now-husband purchase their home. This summer, we got to celebrate their wedding.
There's something really special about growing alongside people, both personally and professionally. And Baylee is one of those people I'm so grateful our business brought into my life.
Less Posing. More Living.
One thing I've always admired about Baylee's photography is how effortlessly she captures people being themselves.
She's not chasing the perfectly posed photograph. She's looking for the little moments happening in between.
"I love capturing the moments between my subjects and incorporating the elements around them."
Instead of asking everyone to stand still and smile, she encourages movement, connection, and play.
Kids picking flowers. Couples laughing together. Those beautifully imperfect moments that end up becoming your favorite photographs.
And honestly, her calming personality makes her the perfect person to have alongside you during life's more intimate milestones.
The Stories Behind the Lens
I loved learning more about where Baylee's creative perspective began.
Her dad gave her his wildlife photography camera for a high school photography class, which eventually led her to art school in Seattle.
But while she studied studio photography, fashion, and magazines, she found herself drawn to real people, creative projects, and photographing life outdoors.
Some of her most meaningful photographs are also the simplest. She shared a story about photographing four generations of a family, including a 90-year-old grandmother meeting her great-grandchild. A black-and-white photograph of their hands together became one of the images that stayed with her.
Another favorite was a maternity session inside a home under construction. Instead of a picturesque field, the couple wore Carhartts and took photos surrounded by the home they were building for their growing family. I mean, how beautiful is that? These are the kinds of stories that make me appreciate her work even more.
A Different Way of Seeing Home
More recently, we've had the opportunity to collaborate with Baylee in a new way.
She's been creating lifestyle imagery for our team, helping us bring more personality and intention to the content we share across our website and social platforms. We've also started incorporating her editorial photography into our listing marketing alongside our traditional MLS photography.
And I LOVE the perspective she brings.
There's something about the way she notices light, texture, architecture, and the little intricacies of a property that makes you see a home differently. For me, it's another way to tell the story of a space beyond its square footage and features.
For the Moments You'll Want Back
One of my favorite questions from our interview was what Baylee hopes people feel when they look at her photographs twenty or even fifty years from now. Her answer really stayed with me.
She talked about looking through childhood photographs and remembering what her grandmother's kitchen smelled like at Christmas, how a house felt, or the air on a family vacation.
Not just remembering the moment, but feeling it all over again.
And isn't that exactly what we want from the photographs we hold onto?
I love that Baylee approaches her work with that kind of intention. Whether she's photographing a wedding, a newborn, a family, or someone's creative business, she's thinking about what those images will mean years down the road.
If you're looking for someone to document a chapter of your life, I couldn't be happier to introduce you to Baylee Marie Photography.
And if you already know her, you probably understand exactly why I adore her.
