If it’s not on the calendar, it doesn’t happen.

There’s something about spring in the PNW that feels like a deep exhale. The days stretch a little longer, the sun shows up just enough to shift your mood, and suddenly you remember how good it feels to get out, to gather, to make plans again.

We say this all the time, and we mean it. If it’s not on the calendar, it doesn’t happen. Life fills up quickly, weekends come and go, and before you know it, the season you were looking forward to is already behind you.

This time of year, always feels like an invitation to be a little more intentional. To say yes to the plans, to reach out to the friend, to make the reservation, to take the drive. These are the things that fill us up, and the moments we remember.

So, this is your nudge. When you know, you know. Add a few of these to your calendar now.

These are some of our favorite ways to step into the season.

Tacoma Rainiers Opening Week (This Week, 3/31-4/5)
There’s just something about opening week.
Baseball is back, the energy is up, and it’s one of the easiest, most fun outings this time of year. Grab a hot dog, sit back, and let it feel like spring again.

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival (OPEN)
A yearly tradition for a reason. Endless rows of color, fresh air, and a full reset. Go early, aim for a weekday if you can, and make a slow day out of it.
Learn more and get tickets here.

Tacoma Restaurant Week (April 12th-16th + 19th-23rd)
One of our favorites every year. The best excuse to try somewhere new or revisit the spots you already love. SO excited to see participating spots like El Gaucho, Matador, Miro Tapas, Lobster Shop, Stanley & Seaforts. Make a reservation early, this one fills up fast.
Here's the cheat sheet.

Farmers Market Season Kickoff
This is when Tacoma really starts to feel alive again. Fresh flowers, local produce, and slow mornings that turn into something more.

Broadway Farmers Market (Downtown Tacoma)
Thursdays 10am to 2pm, OPEN

Proctor Farmers Market
Saturdays 9am to 2pm, OPEN

Point Ruston Farmers Market
Sundays 10am to 2pm, starting in June

Lakewood Farmers Market
Tuesdays 2pm to 7pm, starting in June

U-Pick Farm Days (Late May into June)
There’s something nostalgic about this one. Strawberries, fresh air, and a reason to spend a few hours outside. It’s simple and sweet and always ends up being more memorable than expected. Here's the
Pierce County list , where to go, and what fruits are in season.

Spring and Early Summer Parades
Small town energy in the best way. Easy, fun, and something you’ll be glad you showed up for.

Live Music at Ruston Waterfront
This one surprised us last year in the best way. The outdoor summer concert series at
Dune Peninsula is such an easy and fun setup. Good music, water views, perfect sunset, and space to spread out. Low effort, high reward kind of nights.

A little reminder from us.

Spring has a way of slipping by if you don’t intentionally plan for it. Add one or two of these to your calendar this week. Text a friend. Make the plan. Follow through. These are the moments that create the life we’re all working so hard for.

If you end up at any of these, we’d love to see it. Tag us, send it our way, or share your go-to spots with us. We’re always adding to our list.

With love for this season,

Madison Bingham
