Featuring Thea's Landing

Life at Thea's Landing on Dock Street

I can remember the first time I visited Thea's Landing. I was 13 years old, visiting one of my BFFs, Karli. Her dad recently moved into one of the units, and I was lucky enough to join her for a sleepover. Upon arrival, I felt enamored by the experience as we were buzzed in through the front secured entrance, where I met Karli and her dad in the lobby for the obligatory parent pass-off. Our night consisted of exploring the five-story building in our sock feet, then slipping outside just after dark to take in the sights of the waterway and Tacoma Glass Museum.

This condo experience wasn't my last, actually far from it! Twenty years later, with a career in Real Estate, I've visited many downtown Tacoma condos. And I can confidently tell you that Thea's Landing is one of those buildings that stands out from the rest. It's an experience and lifestyle that is more than embraced by the residents. There is something special about the modern architecture, community culture, and coveted amenities.

What's not to love about the location? Perched along Dock Street in downtown Tacoma sits the sleek and modern Thea's, one of two condo buildings on the waterfront. What initially drew me, and many others, to this building is the floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook Commencement Bay, with glimpses of the Thea Foss Waterway and Tacoma's maritime history. Don't overlook the city views---especially at dusk. The soft twinkle of downtown Tacoma paints a worthy scene sure to wow.

Living downtown puts you in the heart of Tacoma's action, thanks to the iconic Chihuly Bridge that is accessible minutes from your front door. What a treat to cross over and end up on Pacific Avenue with options to many restaurants, shops, museums, and theaters. It's easy to stay active and healthy here with the pedestrian-friendly streets, parks, and scenic waterfront paths steps from the building. The condo amenities provide plenty to do without leaving home. A 24/7 gym, rooftop deck with community barbecue grills and fire pits, club room with big screen TVs- it's got it all.

Owner's use of the condos varies from part-time snowbirds to professionals who purchase their condo as a crash pad. The building security offers peace of mind for lock-and-go living. Of course, a fair number of residents living here full-time love the urban lifestyle or have minimized and downsized to condo life from their single family. One thing that you will hear in common from all is that they love life at Thea's.

We currently have a condo at Thea's for sale, unit 549. It's a beautiful loft-style penthouse with floor-to-ceiling windows. Click here for a link to the listing and all the details. For a private tour, don't hesitate to get in touch with me. I've included the details below.

Some homes stand out because of their finishes. Others win you over with their location. This beautifully upgraded condo at Clover Creek Crossing offers both, along with the intimate feeling of a small, established community. Clover Creek Crossing is a gated community of just 10 units offering a quieter and more personal alternative to a large condominium complex. Surrounded by lush landscaping and with access to Chambers Creek, the setting feels peaceful and tucked away yet it is wonderfully connected to everything Lakewood has to offer. Step inside, and you’ll immediately appreciate the bright, open layout and the extensive upgrades completed throughout the home. The recent remodel included new flooring, appliances, kitchen cabinetry, extended granite countertops, updated bathrooms, lighting, ceiling fans and fixtures, as well as fresh interior paint. The gas fireplace was replaced and refreshed, built-in bookshelves were relocated, and a new patio slider was installed to create an easy connection between the interior and outdoor living spaces. The improvements went well beyond the cosmetic. A new furnace and water heater were also added during the remodel, while air conditioning provides a welcome layer of comfort during the warmer months. It is the kind of thoughtful updating that allows a new owner to move in and enjoy the home without facing a long list of projects. One of the home’s most enchanting features is its private brick patio. Framed by greenery and equipped with its own watering system for the garden beds, it is a delightful place for morning coffee, container gardening, outdoor dining or a quiet evening with friends. It feels like a secret garden—beautiful, manageable and surprisingly private. Parking is another standout benefit. The home includes both a private garage and an additional covered carport, providing valuable space for vehicles, storage or hobbies. Then there is the location. Clover Creek Crossing places you just steps from Lakewood Towne Center and the Lakewood Racquet Club , with shopping, dining, fitness and everyday conveniences close at hand. Quick access to I-5 makes commuting to Tacoma, Olympia, JBLM and surrounding areas simple, while the gated entry and natural surroundings welcome you home to a calmer pace. This is more than an upgraded condo . it is a charming, comfortable retreat in the center of it all.
